Questions about remote controls

Answers to your questions.

Frequently asked questions

Press the “on” button of the remote control once to switch on the lamp. Press “on” again to activate the dimming cycle. The brightness now slowly varies from weak to strong and back to weak. Press the “on” button a third time to save the brightness in memory and to stop the dimming cycle.

When several dimmers are used in the house and they have to be operated at the same time, we advise to assign them all separately to a button on the remote control and to the group button, i.e:

lamp 1 with button 1 and G-button,
lamp 2 with button 2 and G-button,
etc.

In this way, each lamp can be individually switched on and off and dimmed.

If all lamps are to be switched on at the same time, this can be done with the group button.

If you do not do this and programme all dimmers under key 1, for example, this can in practice lead to annoying dimming behaviour if one of the lamps has a different dimming speed than the other.

If you want to use the group button, proceed as follows:

Suppose you have 4 receivers (1~4) that you want to control individually and with the group button:

  1. You pair receiver number 1 with button number 1, then you pair receiver number 1 also with the group button.
  2. You pair receiver number 2 with button number 2, then you also pair receiver number 2 with the group button.
  3. You couple receiver number 3 with button number 3, and then you couple receiver number 3 with the group button.
  4. Link receiver number 4 with button number 4, and link receiver number 4 with the group button.

Now you can control the receivers with both the individual keys and the group key.

The ATMT-502 has 2 batteries:

  • CR-2032 for the clock and timer
  • A-23 for transmitting

What can happen is that when changing the batteries, the protection tab mistakenly comes in front of the spring so that the battery does not make contact.

You could create a virtual group with the ATMT-502;

Pairing receiver 1 with UNIT 1
Pairing receiver 2 with UNIT 2
Pairing receiver 3 with UNIT 3
Pairing receiver 4 with UNIT 4

In addition, you can link all the receivers with UNIT 5, so that if you press UNIT 5, you can switch all lamps ON or OFF.
